Korea... Day 5.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone speak about mandarins with such fervor and enthusiasm... While at a Jeju farm, this old farmer man was raving on and on about waging war on the United States and their oranges. He told us all about mandarins...the different sizes, how to pick good ones, etc. Everything was cool until he had to bring up some miracle fungus that grows on trees that grow on rocks (yeah, beats me?). After a brief 15-minute advertisement, my mom was sold and decided to buy ten bottles of this crap at a ridiculous price... Sigh... Koreans are such suckers...

Later, I went on some cruise around the island. It's quite a spectacular sight watching a sea gull effortlessly gliding through the air. I've said it before and I'll say it again...there's something about the wind that has such excitement in it. The wind blows, the water dances...

It's a difficult thing to enjoy vacationing in the midst of such a mournful tragedy. At the same time, it's an easy thing to forget that the world is an infinitely bigger place than you and me. Yeah, let's continue praying... What else can we do?
